We recently had the pleasure of cleaning all communal carpet from the podium level and below at 7 blocks of apartments in Ocean Village, Hampshire. Because all these blocks had lifts, the footfall was minor from above the podium level so therefore the residents didn’t feel a full carpet clean was needed. This block of flats in the heart of Winchester in Hampshire, is a perfect example of teamwork creating incredible results. Our team is able to do a full clean of all communal areas on each visit which consists of checking, sweeping and bleaching the bin store area, sweeping of all leaves for both entrances, water the communal plants, hoovering and mopping, dusting and polishing, window cleaning and even spraying our lovely scented air fresheners before leaving.

Our landscape maintenance teams work hard to maintain estate areas of blocks of apartments and industrial units. We can tailor our visits to make sure that even in the winter months hedges are trimmed, leaves are cleared, weed and moss treatments are applied on walkways and lawns, communal areas are litter picked and swept, lawns are kept short and tidy, boarders are topped with healthy plants, mulch or stones and in the summer months we use our John Deere petrol scarifier to de-thatch the lawns, which are then given a nitrogen treatment, giving them a boost prior to the spring sunshine.

A ‘typical’ team will consist of a manager or a sub-leader(s) that will be knowledgeable of the sites, the frequencies, access codes or keys and the ability to drive a crew there and to successfully conduct a cleaning routine that would pass the Cherry Estates cleaning standard. Sometimes we are asked to conduct a deep clean before we start our standard cleaning routines. This enables us to set the standard and then keep it easily maintained throughout the duration of our contract.

We were asked to renovate this badly neglected block of apartments in Salisbury town centre, in Wiltshire. Our team started with our thorough deep cleaning routine which included our Steempro 2000 carpet cleaning machine. The carpets had clearly never been maintained with a regular hoover, let alone had a carpet cleaning treatment so our team had their work cut out for them. The results were unbelievable and instantly the block of apartments smelt better.
